Scouting in Wine Country

So this past weekend we took a trip up to Northern California. In many ways it was a way of scouting for future jobs. From winery to winery we went. As we traveled to each one, we felt certain vibes. Some were good, others not so much. It was unanimous though, we love the ones with a smaller less corporate feel to them. But in addition to just being a scouting trip it was a nice quick getaway.

First we stopped in Cupertino to none other than the Apple Campus. Next was the city of San Francisco. After a quick Google search we found an amazing Thai restaurant called Lers Ros Thai in the Civic Center Tenderloin District, we all agreed, best Thai food we have ever had by far, it’s also one of the very rare authentic Thai restaurants that serve frog, boar, and quail. Then we decided to do something different and played a little frisbee at The Great Park in the city. After some amazing shopping in Haight-Ashbury we continued north to Santa Rosa.

Next was the adventure of wine country and friends. A great stay with great friends. Now in the coming months we will see what jobs can possibly come out of this trip.

The Apple Campus
I think Keenan was almost offered a job at Apple, he looks like he belongs there.
One of many pickings
The streets offer interesting architecture in SF.
Great food at Lers Ros Thai
Josh and Keenan taking in the views.
Views like this were so common.
Enjoying 4th street in San Rafael before heading home.

  1. Wow love the photography Jonathon! You got Mean skills!! (kiwi slang for πŸ‘Œ if you were wandering) I have a crazy obsession with sunset photography. One of the most beautiful things in life to experience I think, just something about the colours when it transitions from light to darkness 😍 and I loveeee seeing photos of America in Autumn/fall ..gorgeous!! πŸπŸ‚πŸƒ You can’t really tell the difference in Australia. But anyway thought I’d just let you know how awesome your photography skills are πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘
