In the East

So first of all, I know it’s been a long time since I’ve updated the blog. But what’s funny even though I’ve made changes to get more free time, it’s been the opposite effect. It feels like there is less time by staying so busy. So a few weeks ago was my last day working in the world of construction. Remember the post nearly a year ago where I would like to just focus solely on film? Well here it is. I actually owe my cousin Chris a lot for helping me making the move. It’s been over 3 months now since he was killed and there is not a day that goes by I don’t think about him. It’s because of what happen to him I actually landed some work. It’s because of him I felt life is too short and had the guts to make the move.  I will always remember Chris.

Heading to Newark
Heading to Newark

So this morning I wake up in New Jersey. Yesterday I flew into Newark. I’m out this way to visit friends, discover further opportunities, and be a tourist for a day or two. Even though I flew in at 9:00 pm we were able to cram in some really cool places.  My good friend Raul picked me up from the airport and we headed to grab a bit to eat. Those that know me, know I’m always starving and it’s not a good thing if it last too long. We ended up at a really cool place called the Pilsener Haus & Biergarten.

Excited to be eating and sitting in such a cool place.

Then the food came, talk about excited.

A quick tour of the area, and getting factoids from Raul.

After a quick tour of the area I was out for the night. And here I am… Today I’ll be driving to Upstate NY as the adventure for the next two weeks begin….
