Connecting to Photography and Film

So it’s been a few days in the city. One thing that is always at my side is my camera. Now for the most part I always film. But lately on this trip I have been taking photos. Sometimes we get so focused into what we do, we don’t try anything else. Example, me and video. Honestly I love taking photos, but don’t find myself having the time. This trip though in addition to other things was to get my creative juices flowing.

What I love about photos so much is how you frame the content. Looking through the viewfinder the rest of the world is blocked out and for a moment the only thing that matters in your life is what you see in the viewfinder. Snap. Then that’s it forever will that moment be remember through that photo.

As a guy always filming, I believe it’s good to stop when you can to take a photo. Build your framing skills is so important. Just imagine on your next filming project all the time and care you would spend in framing that photo is the same for film.
